Diamond Princess

Diamond Princess is a cruise ship owned and operated by Princess Cruises, which was voted the best international ship in Japan by a Cruise Magazine’s reader’s poll. She was debuted back in March 2004 and mostly do cruises in Asia during the summer and then repositions to Australia for their winter season.

She can accommodate up to 2,670 guests and is a sub classed Grand Class ship, which is also known as a Gem Class ship. Along with her sister ship, the Sapphire Princess, the Diamond is the widest subclass of Grand-class ships. They have a 37.5 m beam while all other Grand Class ships have a beam of 36 m. Both these ships were both built in Nagasaki, Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
